With home prices rising over the years in Studio City, buyers moved north to Valley Village looking for more affordable single family home and condo/townhouse alternatives. With Colfax Charter Elementary in its district, Valley Village became a desirable area that offers similar attributes as its neighbor to the south. With the majority of condos and townhouses running along Riverside Dr, Magnolia Blvd and Chandler Blvd, inner streets are filled with quaint single family homes and many above average sized lots. Valley Village doesn’t have any sub-neighborhoods, but can be divided between east or west Laurel Canyon Blvd. Each area offering something a little different. Picturesque tree lined streets can be found closer to Valley Village Park to the east. Marie et Cie offers residents a special hideaway along busy Riverside Drive. On the west side of Laurel residents have many walkable options up to Magnolia Blvd or shops along Laurel, with some streets such as La Maida St and Huston St gaining a slight elevation as you move west towards Whitsett Ave.
